What is Ash Kicker?

Ash Kicker is Cowlitz County’s largest CHARITY 5k adventure run!  For those looking for mud, fun, foam, extreme obstacles & crazy costumes, you’ll find no other event like it!

What charities will benefit from Ash Kicker 2013?

Bigfoot Community Events, the non-profit organization managing Ash Kicker is proud to award 2013 proceeds to Longview Parks & Recreation, Lower Columbia School Gardens, North County Recreation Association (NCRA), Reading Is Fundamental of Cowlitz County (RIF), & Spencer’s HeartStrong Foundation.  Bigfoot Community Events takes pride in leaving a BIG FOOTPRINT in our community!!

Who can participate in Ash Kicker?

Ash Kicker is for anyone age 12 and over; old, young, seasoned extreme runner or newbie!  If you’re under 18 though, you must have a Waiver and Release signed by a parent or guardian.

Where is Ash Kicker held?

The action takes place at the Toutle River RV Resort located off I-5 at exit 52 in Castle Rock, WA.  Tent and RV camping available!  Book your camp site today!  Toutle River RV Resort has been home to Ash Kicker for three years now!  Complete your Ash Kicker experience by making it a weekend get away!

How much does registration cost?

Prices below are for an individual.  Create a team of 4 or more to receive $5 off your registration!  Team members can register all at once or at each team member’s convenience.

Registration Prices:
Until Oct 31 ’12 – $55 per person {pricing has expired}

Nov 1 ’12 to Jan 31 ’13 – $60 per person {pricing has expired}

Feb 1 ’13 to April 30 ’13 – $65 per person {pricing has expired}

May 1 ’13 to May 12 ’13 – $70 per person {pricing has expired}

May 13 – May 17 (week of race) – $75 per person

Week of race & same day registration may not be available depending upon number of registrants.

What do I get with my registration?

Besides the time of your life??  Your paid registration includes a short sleeve Tech Shirt with a custom Ash Kicker 2013 graphic, race bib for your collection, chip timing, NEW FOR ASH KICKER 2013: a custom nylon drawstring bag full of swag from our sponsors & for those over 21 yrs of age, one Ninkasi beer!

Is there a maximum number of team members?

No!  Gather as many as you can!  You’ll want to share all this fun and excitement with all your friends!

What time does the race start?

The first wave leaves the party field at 9:00 AM!  Another wave launches every 30 minutes after with the last wave time at 3:30 PM.  Choose your wave time during your on-line registration but be warned: there are caps to wave times and they fill up fast!  Register now!

Are there prizes awarded?

Yes!  The sweetest prizes known to man: CUSTOM SASQUATCH TROPHIES!  No other event has these!  Prizes will be awarded for best team and individual costumes, best male time, best female time, best team time and most Realistic Sasquatch!

If my plans change and I can’t participate, will I be refunded?

Registration is non-refundable and will be considered a charitable donation to the the local charities receiving race proceeds.

Is there a parking fee?

Yes.  Parking at Ash Kicker 2013 is $10.  Participants and spectators are encouraged to carpool as parking is limited.  Why not see how many team members can fit in your car??  (Kidding of course.  One person per seat belt.  Stay safe!)

Will there be food available?

Two words.  CUSTOM BAR-B-QUE.  Many join the party just for the food!!  For $14 ($15 with a drink) you’ll enjoy a choice of half chicken or ribs, cole slaw, baked bean and a dinner roll.  It’s more than a sasquatch could eat!  And for the Lil’ Squatches enjoying the fun, we have the KIDS MEAL: $5 for a hotdog, chips and drink!  There’s plenty for everyone!

Can my pet participate?

While we love furry critters (Sasquatches especially), our race is a closed course.  No pets permitted on the course.

Are there any kids’ activities available?

Bigfoot Community Events is excited to provide a sneak peek at the upcoming event LIL’ SQUATCHES, a kids’ fun run!  Let your little sasquatch take their turn on the demo-course!  They’ll have a blast training for their upcoming fun run while you’re off kicking ASH on the ASH KICKER course!

Can I run with my jogging stroller?

The Ash Kicker course is closed to wheeled conveyance of any kind.
